Thinking about entering the marine world for the first time? Maybe your already a certified diver but want to try out a rebreather, or technical diving. Our Discovery courses are designed to give you a quick introduction to the world that awaits you. Discovery courses include Snorkeling, Free Diving, Scuba Diving, Technical Diving, and Rebreather Diving. Children are a curious bunch, always ready for the next adventure and as they get older finding activities a family can truly enjoy together gets harder and harder. Scuba diving provides family to the ability to share experiances together that everyone enjoys and is educational at the same time. Silent World Dive Center takes a special interest in the training of the next generation of divers and can start scuba training as early as eight years old. For those younger then eight we provide snorkeling instruction that will allow your children to be exposed to the underwater world.

All of our instructional staff have been provided with special training requarding the protection and education of youth. Each member of our instructional staff is even registered with the Boy Scouts of America as a Merit Badge Counselor. We take pride in the fact thier is no other location where ever single instructor on staff has completed youth protection training, background checks, and been approved by the Boy Scouts of America to work with children. Recreational Instruction is where it all begins. These courses provide divers with the fundimental knowledge required to be a safe and skilled diver. Recreational training ranges from the Open Water Diver Course for new divers all the way up through the Master Scuba Diver Rating. Along the way you will learn about different types of diving, the marine environment, rescue skills, and can even expand your knowledge with a wide range of speciality diving courses. Now that you are a certified diver you may find yourself considering technical diving but have heard its hard, involves lots of complicated gear, and other rumors about why its not safe or fun. Silent World is here to help you make the transition into longer divers, deeper depths, and even inside of caves and wrecks. Technical Diving does involve extensive training and a introduction to new equipment but we can assure you that once you try it you will be hooked and then its onto a world of new adventures that recreational dive restrictions prevent you from experiancing.

We run more technical trips then any other florida keys charter operation, and hold recignition as the only IANTD Platnium Training Faciality and GUE Dive Center through out the Florida Keys. When things go wrong are you prepared to step in and do you part to make sure the best outcome possible occurs? At Silent World Dive Center we provide a wide range of medical training for divers and non-divers alike. CPR, AED, Oxygen Usage, and much more awaiting you. Not only will we train you in the skills needed to provide medical care but you will be trained but those people who have done it professionally. Former Fire Fighters and EMT's are amoung our training staff and they are ready to pass the knowledge they learned in the field on to you. Diver, Non-Diver, Youth or Adult environmental conservation is on everyones minds these days. Silent World Dive Center offers a wide range of educational environmental programs from Project AWARE, REEF, CoralWatch, Blue Star, and more. These programs have been designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to be part of the solution in protecting the natural wonders we love for the next generation. If we teach it we can teach you how to teach it. With professional training programs from every agency we work no shop in the Florida Keys is able to provide professional level training in more programs then Silent World Dive Center. If you are looking to start your career in the diving industry or expand on the professional skills you already hold we have you covered. More important then the professional training we offer is the results it generates. Those individuals who do thier professional training with us leave the program ready to work in the industry not just certified to do so. All of our professional training programs are at least twice as long as those offered by other Dive Shops in the area. Seven days is simply not long enough to make you a employable Dive Master or Instructor. Sure you may earn the certification card in seven days but will you be able to get a job and keep it with only the absolutely mininum level of training required.

If your looking for the fast track zero to hero meathod of being a professional diver we are not the place for you. If you want to learn to be the best you can be and hold the skills to move your resume to the top of the pile we can make it happen. Its a little known fact but through out the Keys you will find members of the staff who have recieved at least a portion of thier training at Silent World. Currently Silent World Dive Center is the only location in the keys where you can be trained as a Instructor for more then four different agencys at the same time and even qualify to be a rebreather instructor! Perhaps you just finished high school and want to spend some time in the real world while earning college credit. Maybe your out of college and are looking for a new experiance, or maybe you want to move your career into the scuba diving industry. Professional level training takes time and money. Although we can't help you with the time portion of things we can help with the money! Silent World Dive Center is proud to offer three different internship programs in lengths of 3 months, 6 months, and even a full year. These programs will provide you with the needed experiance and training to help you become a dive professional while saving money and even earning college credits. You can start your training from home at your computer and even interact with the instructional staff you will work with right from the comfort of your own home. eLearning is a great way to get started and allows you to complete a portion of the knowledge development required for your course before you even arrive.
